  • Things to know about custom orthotics

    Any imbalance in your feet can alter the bone structure of your feet and lower legs, causing pain or discomfort. Custom Foot Orthotics help eliminate posture problems and foot and leg pain.

  • Do I need a prescription or a referral?

    No. Chiropractors are primary health care professionals and do not need a physician’s referral. 


    Although they are medical devices, custom orthotics do not require a prescription when provided by a medical professional.

  • How long will my orthotics last?

    Foot orthotics usually last between 12 and 18 months. We recommend that you have a backup pair on hand.

  • Are orthotics easy to get used to?

    Like most things, your feet will need time to adjust to this new, correct way of walking. You should use orthotics gradually, for approximately 3-4 hours during the first 48 hours. After the first 48 hours, we recommend using your orthotics for six to eight hours until the second week, when you can use them all day.
