The Pass Along Project

Providing a complete clothing kit to children newly arrived in foster care anywhere in the State of NH. The Pass Along Project volunteers pre-build clothing kits in every size so we can have the right size, ready to go at a moment's notice. Each kit contains a full week's worth of basic everyday clothing, similar to what most families purchase at the beginning of a school year. While the majority of the bundle is built with excellent quality pre-worn clothing, we also add new underwear, new socks, new pajamas, and at least 2 new outfits to every kit. Kits also contain sneakers, and seasonal items such as boots, jackets, snow pants, and more.

Most foster children arrive at their new home with very little notice, so foster parents aren’t able to prepare clothing that is size and gender appropriate beforehand. What’s worse, most foster children also arrive in soiled clothing. A trip to the store in soiled clothing with the new foster family, who are little more than strangers, can be a very traumatic start for both these children and their new families. Pass Along Project is able to re-write these first moments for foster kiddos making the whole experience a bit easier.
